The Rules of the
Hammer.

Everything you need to know about running a fair, fast, and electric cricket auction. From wallet management to millisecond-perfect bidding.

01. The Bidding Process

Our platform utilizes a cutting-edge WebSocket sync system. This ensures that every bid is broadcasted across all devices in under 50 milliseconds, eliminating “bid-lag” and ensuring total fairness.

The Countdown Logic

When a bid is placed, the countdown timer resets. By default, the reset duration is 15 seconds. If no other bidder responds before the clock hits zero, the player is awarded to the current highest bidder.

The “Going once, twice, sold” flow is automated but can be overridden by the Admin to ensure high-intensity moments are handled with care.

02. Wallet & Budgets

Precision budgeting is the core of tournament strategy. Cric Bid Pro enforces hard limits on team wallets to prevent over-spending and ensure legal squad sizes.

MIN-BID LOCK

The system automatically calculates the minimum purse required to complete a squad. If a bid would leave a team with less than the minimum required for remaining slots, the system will block the bid.

DYNAMIC PURSE

Purse values are updated in real-time across the entire dashboard. Deductions happen the instant the hammer drops, reflecting immediate purchasing power changes.

03. Auction Modes

Tournament organizers can choose from three distinct styles of player selection:

01
Random Draw: The system picks a random player from the pool to keep bidders on their toes.
02
Manual Select: The Admin/Auctioneer manually searches and presents players based on the crowd's energy.
03
Category-Wise: Players are auctioned in "Sets" or "Buckets" (e.g., Marquee All-rounders first).

04. Dispute Resolution

In the heat of an auction, mistakes happen. Our Admin suite provides the “Reverse Bid” and “Emergency Pause” features to handle human errors without disrupting the flow.

CRITICAL GUIDELINES

  • Only use “Reverse Bid” within 60 seconds of a player being sold.
  • “Pause” the auction immediately if a team reports connectivity issues.
  • The Admin's decision logged in the “Event Audit Trail” is final.
